Attorney Jason D. Cohn

Mr. Cohn graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern California. After USC, Mr. Cohn attended Whittier Law School in Los Angeles where he graduated with honors (cum laude). While at Whittier Law School, Mr. Cohn was regularly named on the Dean’s List and was an approved student tutor. In addition, Mr. Cohn was member of the Moot Court Honors Board and the revered Whittier Law Review.
Mr. Cohn, a founding member of Cohn & Swartzon, P.C., began his legal career practicing business litigation and injury defense for a firm in Newport Beach. Since beginning his own solo practice in 2003, Mr. Cohn has represented hundreds of clients in plaintiff personal injury matters including catastrophic injury,
wrongful death and victims of crime. In so doing, Mr. Cohn has recovered millions of dollars in compensation for his clients. Mr. Cohn prides himself on vigorously representing his clients and providing them with the close, personal attention they deserve. In short, Mr. Cohn treats his clients as he would expect to be treated.
Mr. Cohn is a member of the Consumer Attorney’s Association of Los Angeles (CAALA), the Orange County Trial Lawyers Association (OCTLA), the American Association for Justice (formerly known as the Association of Trial Lawyers of America), EO (Entrepreneurs Organization), Lex Romana, and was recently selected to be a Rising Star of the elite 2011 Superlawyers. Mr. Cohn also sits as a temporary judge in the Los Angeles County courts and has guest lectured on the radio, at USC and most recently, Whittier Law School, in Costa Mesa. Mr. Cohn is licensed to practice in all California State Courts, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeal, and most Federal District Courts in California.
Mr. Cohn is an Orange County native where he still resides. In his leisure time, Mr. Cohn enjoys motorcycle riding, off roading, camping, air shows, all types of auto-racing, and has participated in numerous off-road races such as the SCORE Baja 1000 in Baja, California. Mr. Cohn also enjoys skiing in Mammoth, deep sea fishing, and visiting the wine country when time permits.

Attorney Saar Swartzon
Mr. Swartzon has acted as lead trial counsel on many successful personal injury verdicts and settlements. Mr. Swartzon also graduated from U.S.C., cum laude, with honors in 1995. His degree was a B.A. in political science. Mr. Swartzon subsequently graduated from Southwestern University School of Law where he received his Juris Doctorate (J.D.) in 1998. Personal injury attorney Mr. Swartzon graduated near the top of his law school class. While attending law school, Mr. Swartzon was a member of the Interscholastic Trial Advocacy Team in which he won two national trial competitions while also working as a law journal editor.
Mr. Swartzon has years of experience in OC personal injury claims involving catastrophic injuries. Recently, Mr. Swartzon helped obtain a $36 million jury verdict for an asbestos victim. This personal injury verdict was determined as the 48th largest verdict in the United States according to the National Law Journal, Top 100 Verdicts.
Mr. Swartzon actively participates as a Consumer Attorneys of Los Angeles member, American Association of Trial Lawyers of America active member, as well as other associated Orange County Personal Injury associations and organizations. Admitted in both California and Illinois, Mr. Swartzon is also an adjunct professor at Southwestern University School of Law. Additionally, Mr. Swartzon has been determined to be a Rising Star by Super Lawyers 2009, 2010 and 2011 for his personal injury legal accomplishments, where no more than 2.5% achieve this accomplishment.
